Soothe Treatment

WHAT ARE SOOTHE TREATMENTS

Soothe protocols have been designed to temporarily ease discomfort and soreness, soothe inflammation, and improve recovery in the treated area.

The Soothe protocol portfolio addresses a variety of universal concerns, including the easing of short, mid, and long-term discomfort, increased ease and effectiveness of combined bodywork therapies, as well as targeted protocols focusing specifically on the head, neck, and joints.

Cryoskin

Key Benefits:

● To help manage discomfort

● To help manage aches

● To help increase circulation in the injured area

Most of the protocols within this portfolio demonstrated more than 38% felt a reduction in discomfort and no protocol scored less than 57% self-reported protocol effectiveness by clients!  disrupt the joint receptors responsible for performing these actions.

These protocols include:

  • Pre-Bodywork and Post-Bodywork: For clients receiving bodywork like massage, manual therapy, chiropractic care, joint manipulation, etc.

  • Short-Term: For clients dealing with soreness or discomfort within 3 days of injury.

  • Mid-Term: For clients dealing with soreness or discomfort for 4 days to 8 weeks pre-protocol.

  • Long-Term: For clients with a history of consistent soreness or discomfort ranging from 8 weeks to years pre-protocol.

  • Head & Neck: For clients reporting head and neck discomfort, TMJ discomfort, migraines, or sinus pressure.

  • Pre-Performance and Post-Performance: For clients or athletes within 0-3 hours before or after their workout.

  • Small Joint: For clients with overuse injuries, tendonitis, or short-term discomfort to a small joint (i.e. elbows, ankles, or wrists).

  • Large Joint: For clients with overuse injuries, tendonitis, or short-term discomfort to a lower extremity joint (i.e. shoulders, SI Joints, or knees).

Science

Cold Therapy and Thermotherapy are both used throughout the Soothe protocols.

Cold Therapy works by temporarily reducing blood flow to a particular area, which can significantly reduce inflammation and swelling that causes discomfort, especially around a joint or a tendon. It can temporarily relieve soreness and discomfort.

Thermotherapy (heat therapy) works because the heat temporarily increases tissue temperatures, which produces vasodilation. In turn, vasodilation increases the flow of oxygen and nutrients through the blood vessels.

Aftercare instructions

After the session is complete, use caution when the client is getting off the table, sitting up, and walking as the protocol may disrupt the joint receptors responsible for performing these actions.
